Working Towards Restoration

Parents will learn about planning, activities and processes that support their children and start to think about the role of parents and family in ensuring children’s safety and wellbeing.

The workshop is designed and run by FISH parent peer workers with experience of child removal and life with a child in care.

Content includes: Being child focused, domains of wellbeing, record keeping, communicating and relationships, preparing for meetings to be the best advocate for your child, family time, different types of planning, and support and self-care.

Cost: Free for parents.

Dates: Fourth Tuesday & Wednesday of each month (may change on occasion):

July 23 & 24 | August 27 & 28 | September 24 & 25 | October 22 & 23 |

November 19 & 20 | December 10 & 11

Venue: FISH space, Level 2, 437 Hunter Street, Newcastle.
